SCOTT KURNIT

Scott Kurnit is an investor in and strategic adviser to a number of cutting-edge technology and media companies. In his most visible role as the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of About, Inc., he helped the company move to a public market value of over $1.5 billion and become the fifth most-visited of all online properties.

Scott’s experience spans cross-channel media, both as president of Showtime and also in his work at Warner, Viacom, News Corp., PBS, IBM, MCI, and Sears. He has been inducted into the American Advertising Federation's Hall of Achievement and is a recipient of the prestigious Vanguard Award from the National Cable Television Association.

Currently, Scott sits on several boards. In his spare time, he is a trustee of the Mianus River Gorge Preserve, the first National Natural History Landmark.

JONATHAN SEELIG

As a Managing Director at Globespan, Jonathan Seelig sources new investment opportunities and serves on the boards of portfolio companies. His introduction to venture capitalism came while raising money. Of the experience, he says, ‘we had a very supportive and productive relationship with many of our early investors, so I learned just how much value a good angel investor or VC can add to a company’.

Jonathan earned his BS in Physics from Stanford University, and was enrolled in MIT’s prestigious Sloan Fellow’s program when he left to co-found Akamai. Akamai was guided in growth by Jonathan as he managed global infrastructure development and deployment and business development in a fast-growth environment.

Jonathan currently lives in downtown Boston and serves on the Boards of Trustees for the Institute for Contemporary Art in Boston and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation for Humanism in Medicine in New Jersey.

PHIL YOUNG

With a long tenure in venture capital, Phil Young has had the pleasure of working with many different types of talent. As a member of US Venture Partners since 1990, he has enjoyed being both coach and mentor, helping serial entrepreneurs scout their next company and portfolio companies recruit the best possible management team.

Phil possesses extensive operating experience. He was President and CEO of Oximetrix, where he spent eight years growing the venture-backed company from revenues of $1 million to nearly $50 million. Additionally, Phil spent six years at New Court Securities working in venture capital and corporate finance, two years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co., and six years on Admiral Rickover's project management staff at the Atomic Energy Commission.

Phil got his start at Cornell followed by an MS George Washington University, and ultimately an MBA from Harvard.  Philanthropically, Phil serves on the Board of Trustees of Cornell University and as Chairman of the Board of eCornell.


MATT KRNA

Matt Krna represents Investor Growth Capital on Dotomi’s Board. His focus is on investments in the internet and digital media sectors.

Matt’s experience spans multiple investment companies and responsibilities. His career began as a corporate finance analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, ultimately moving to the technology investment banking group at Credit Suisse First Boston, completing numerous M&A, equity, and debt capital-raising transactions in the semiconductor, communications, software, and internet sectors. Additionally, Matt was responsible for early-stage investment activity at Canaan Partners. Over his three-year tenure at Canaan, he oversaw a broad spectrum of technology investments.

Matt currently serves as a Director on the Board of Dotomi and is a Board observer at ID Analytics and Greenway Medical Technologies. Although educated in Boston at Harvard, where he earned a BA in History, Matt currently calls New York home.

 

JOHN GIULIANI, CEO

John Giuliani is a seasoned executive with almost twenty-five years of experience in growing successful organizations. As CEO and Chairman of the Board, John drives the vision for Dotomi by focusing on strategic growth and fostering the company’s leadership position in online marketing.

Before joining Dotomi, John founded Rainmaker Consulting Group Inc. He also served as President of North America for Catalina Marketing Services which provided innovative solutions to key Fortune 1000 companies. His leadership at Catalina resulted in record growth.  John’s experience includes four years at ACTMEDIA, as well as in CPG sales and marketing with Beecham Products and Frito-Lay, Inc.

In addition to Dotomi, John is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Fingerhut Direct Marketing and has been an active Board member for several emerging and large marketing services companies. John has an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, as well as BS from the University of Illinois. Go Illini!


YAIR GOLDFINGER, CTO

As the Co-Founder and CTO of Dotomi, Yair Goldfinger leads the research and development of the company’s online advertising technologies and initiatives, with a focus on creating personalized, relevant, and timely one-to-one messaging between advertisers and their consumer base.

Prior to Dotomi, Yair co-founded ICQ. Acquired by AOL in 1998, today ICQ is more commonly known as Instant Messaging.

Yair earned a BA in Math and Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University, and was granted the Wharton Infosys Business Transformation Award in 2005. He is an active investor in several Israeli start-up companies, and splits his time between the United States and Israel.
