Position Summary

The Junior HR Generalist will support the Director of HR & Administration and In-House Recruiter in executing Dotomi’s recruiting plan as well as administering HR policies and procedures and benefits programs.


Essential Job Functions/Activities

  • Assist the In-House Recruiter with sourcing, posting jobs, recordkeeping and reporting. 35%
  • Respond to routine inquiries from employees regarding HR processes, policies, and procedures. Provide day-to-day issue resolution in a variety of areas including payroll and benefits. Escalate issues as needed to the Director of HR & Administration or Senior Accountant for resolution when needed. 25%
  • Assist the Director of HR & Administration in administering Dotomi’s benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance. Update all benefit systems for newly hired and terminated employees, process address changes and employment verifications. 25%
  • Assist the Director of HR & Administration in administering Dotomi’s performance management program and delivering training and development initiatives. Facilitate training sessions and coordinate on-boarding schedules. 10%


Minimum Job Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to support the needs of the HR Team at Dotomi. A strong candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in business, human resources management, organizational development, or related field is preferred.
  • Years of Experience: 2 years of experience in human resources. Experience working within a sizable HR department in a mid-sized to large organization is preferred. Experience in a fast-paced company in the technology, media, advertising, or online marketing industries is a plus.
  • Specific Skills & Abilities: Strong Microsoft Office and internet research skills. Prior experience working with HRIS databases, performance management systems, and online benefits systems. Strong understanding of payroll, recruiting, and benefits functions. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. Ability to maintain confidentiality with compensation data and sensitive HR matters. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and responsiveness to internal and external clients. Experience with WebEx or similar conferencing systems preferred. Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications, etc.: SHRM membership and PHR certification desirable

  • Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task. Excellent communication skills are necessary in order to act as a first line of contact for all routine HR matters. Adaptability and flexibility and willingness to respond to the demands of a rapidly changing industry are essential.
